The podcast dedicated to all the weird and wonderful stories you'll only hear from community reporters.
"Matt is a great storyteller. His wit, style and humor make for a great combination."
"This show is a delight! Matt and his guests have such wonderful stories!"
Reporters who work for small town newspapers may not have epic life experiences like Bob Woodward or Carl Bernstein, and they certainly don't get as much notice as national television news anchors, but they have the most unique, and often entertaining, stories to tell. Matt Schorr looks back on some of his own off-beat, funny and occasionally just plain weird interactions with the public, while also welcoming other community reporters to share their own tales.
Chris Smith, Regional News Director for USA Today Network - Tennessee and author of Salamanders of the Silk Road, joins Matt to talk about his experiences as Senior Editor for the Leaf-Chronicle in Clarksville and his journalistic adventures in Florida and Alabama. His tales include chair tossing and insult hurling, but not a single wrestling ring. For more updates on this show and others, be sure to follow the Schorr Manor Facebook Page.
